  • Preserve Ranger with the Wildlands Conservancy, Wind Wolves Preserve

  • Research Technician with University of Colorado, Boulder

Graduate School Pt 1

I earned my master’s degree from the University of New Mexico in 2021. There, I researched the recruitment dynamics of dominant plant species and anticipated climate regimes affect those dynamics.

PhD School (Graduate School Pt. 2)

Currently I am a PhD student at UC Davis where I began in fall 2021. I belong to the Graduate Group in Ecology, Department of Plant Sciences, and Funk Lab. I am researching how drought and community structure affect seed bank dynamics and functional traits. Additionally, I co-lead a student organization, Hands on the Land, that strives to reconnect all people with their local environment and devise innovative solutions to restore degraded lands.

Positionality and DEI

As a cis- white woman I recognize the privilege that has ushered me into this position. I try to support my colleagues of color, take opportunities to unlearn and rectify my biases, collaborate and uplift people from historically marginalized groups, and work to decolonize my research. I am open to hearing feedback on how to be a better ally and welcome opportunities to learn more.
